SK Hynix’s unveils fastest consumer SSD to date, and it uses 128-layer 4D NAND

SK Hynix has started sales of its fastest consumer SSD to date, the Gold P31 drive. The storage device uses the company’s latest 128-layer TLC NAND memory as well as an in-house developed controller. 

The SK Hynix Gold P31 PCIe NVMe SSD uses a popular M.2-2280 form-factor and is available in 500GB and 1TB capacities. The manufacturer rates read speed of the drive at up to 3500MB/s and write speed at up to 3200MB/s.
